Though Sapphira can fit into many different worlds and situations, her main story is taking place within the world of Krinstalla - a homebrewed D&D area.

Krinstalla is a realm where all planes have crashed together. The veil is broken; Heaven and Hell exist and clash across lands that are already battlescarred from their local inhabitants.
Previous treaties have been abolished. Clashes for power and land have become a normality as the creatures work to rebuild their homes. Magic runs rife in a world which previously had very little, myths and legends becoming a dangerous reality. Humanity seems to be extinct.
The only creatures that could do anything to fix the old barriers are being hunted and killed off.

As hopeless as it may seem, life is not completely negative for many. Bestial tribes of kemonomimis have come together, joining their lands in a truce. Lower class workers may feel as if their life has not changed at all, as there is plenty of work to be done foraging, hunting, building homes... Not everyone is in a constant battle to live. Hell is most certainly on the retreat, with the Angel's winning the battle nearly outright. However, being Lawful Good does not automatically make you right, and you can't have the positive in the world without a dose of evil.

The campaign is based around world building; choosing a side and helping them rise to power, or rising to power yourself under a new flag. It's about bringing a balance to the world by saving the Phoenix' and demons while rebuilding the veil, or destroying the world by removing either Heaven or Hell from the equation.

Paladin Bell [f-list.net] is the main character of this campaign. You can read more about the Phoenix groups, the power of the flames and how he is the Avatar of the Seven Sins on his profile.

Sapphira has not been introduced into this campaign as of yet, though she does have a possible backstory written up. Sirens themselves exist within Krinstalla, though not many are left.

Siren's are a species that have always been heavily connected to the Phoenix' groups. Their innate magic for guiding is within a similar vein to the flame magic within a Phoenix; both are intrinsically connected to life and planar barriers. The phoenix are the barriers themselves, where as Sirens are free to move between them at will, as long as a 'thread of fate' is connecting at least two souls between them. With the barriers gone things are a little more confusing for the species, though they seem to be doing okay.

Threads of Fate are connections between the sparks of people. A Siren can at the very least feel these connections, and use them as a guide for guiding their Master or Mistress. For example, they can see if two people are linked via history, feelings, interests and more in order to define the best path for the pair to take; whether that is becoming friends, lovers, enemies, etc. They can of course be wrong about this, though it is rare as they spend most of their life reading these connections and will only comment when certain or are pushed. Most Siren's excel at secretarial roles within courts due to this, and are mostly seen under the employment of Kings or Courts of Law.

After the cataclysm, many Siren's became lost or confused; what were once easy paths to follow had become a tangle of webs. Most have taken refuge in the area they now call home, attempting to relearn and redefine their job in life. Those that lived with Hosts have run away for the most part, or died from being driven mad. Very few continue to live away from the rest of their species' home, with most of those being held captive.

Living within Krinstalla could be considered a hell for some and a heaven for others. Rape is far from uncommon. Drinking cum or breast milk is as normal as ordering a pint of beer from a bar - and can be done so in most self respecting establishments. Many of the plants growing around the world can be used as aphrodisiacs naturally, and have some strange effects on the body when mixed. Owning a slave is considered a must for high society of certain races, with branding and marking holding a considerable amount of meaning in nearly all circles.

The map so far...

"So wait! What's such a cutie like Sapphira doing in such a dark world?"

Being a cutie does not save her from dark storylines. I've been looking forward to developing her within a darker setting. So yes, she's gonna get wrecked.
